Kronospan is operating several Chemical plants to produce amino glues for the production of MDF and particle boards, phenolic glues for plywood production, amino and phenolic resins for paper impregnation. Further also impregnation additives are produced by Kronospan.

We are currently looking for committed professionals with passion for the position:

Chemical Engineer

Workplace: Lampertswalde

Yours duties will be:
  • The chemical engineer is responsible for project work with planning and supervising the erection of new (greenfield) or to modifying existing chemical plants;
  • The project work is starting with design work creating the plant layout, designing the P&ID of the chemical process, defining the scope of equipment ordering, investment cost optimization, creation of a CAPEX;
  • Coordination between an engineering company doing the detailed design and the local organization;
  • Creation of a material balance, calculation of storage and production capacity;
  • Working out and controlling of time schedules;
  • Preparation of necessary documents to gain local permissions from the authorities as building or environmental permission;
  • Supervision of the building process, starting from civil works, pipe works, reactor installation, programming of the chemical plants, fire safety, etc.

Our expectations:
  • An experienced person, with min 5 years work experience, by working in investment projects to erect chemical production plants;
  • The candidate should have worked for a projecting company or in chemical business;
  • Ideally the person has experience on the field of installations to produce resins (amino, epoxy, polyester, paints or different);
  • English language is a must, Russian would be good;
  • The person is open to travel and also able to stay in different countries over a longer time period (3 – 6 month);
  • The candidate has to be committed to work;
  • Auto CAD is a must.
